jogger慢跑的人

   The joggers paused stopped to catch their breath. 慢跑者們暫停下來以便呼吸。

quick 快速的、迅速的

   She is quick at learning a foreign language.  她學外語學得快。

aerobic exercise 有氧運動

   I heard that it is the best way to stay in shape. 我聽說有氧運動是保持身材最好的方法。

warm up 暖身

   Let's warm up before we go. 我們先暖暖身再出門。

work out 鍛煉、運動

   Well my gut is getting larger and larger, I think it is about time I start to work out.

lap 跑道一圈

   Harris went on top in the last lap. 哈里斯在最後一圈跑到了最前面。

   She suddenly saw the flowers on her lap. 她突然看見她膝蓋上的花。

    (lap也常用來形容人坐下來時大腿上的平面空間)

Finish line 終點線

   A: I thought I would die near the end of the 10K run yesterday.

     昨天在10K快跑完時我以為我要死掉了。

   B: But you were alive and well when you crossed the finish line.

     You can make it as long as you have faith in yourself.

     但你通過終點線時還活得好好的呀。只要你對自己有信心,你就可以辦到的。

Michael: What kind of exercises do usually do? 你平時做什麼運動?

   Ben: Well, I love to do push-ups, and I go cycling every day. How about you?

       我喜歡做伏地挺身,每天我都騎單車。你呢?

Michael: I usually go swimming in summer and go jogging in winter.

       我通常在夏天游泳,而冬天跑步。

   Ben: Sounds great! How often do you go jogging?

       聽起來不錯!你多久去跑一次啊?

Michael: I try to do at least a little every day. The key to do exercise is to do it regularly.

       I started when I was six years old. I have run through universities.

       我盡量每天都慢跑一段,運動的重點是要有規律。我從6歲開始跑步。

       我經常跑步穿過大學校園。

   Ben: Really! 真的!

Michael: Yeah! I'm going jogging during my lunch break . Come with me.

       是的!午休時我要去慢跑,一起來吧。

   Ben: Sure. 好阿
